Grapes and Oranges 2018-2020

 When I was living some time in California, the endless orange groves of the arid, irrigated Central Valley made me think about the myth of endless abundance in Western history. I’m interested in the layers of abundance that painting can combine. Historically, materially and in its ability to reach alternative ways of knowing, intuitively, and beyond the rational.
